Following Grey Lantern’s successful showcase for Manchester’s Free For Arts Festival, we’re proud to announce we return to Kraak Gallery with arguably Manchester’s finest new electronica duo, Ghosting Season. Born out of the ashes of worriedaboutsatan, Ghosting Season are set to take their brooding yet euphoric sound on a nationwide tour after recently performing to a packed out audience for Drowned In Sound’s inaugural Manchester gig in support of TEETH.
“they are a controlled storm that allows little room for mistake or pretense in both themselves and those standing near-aghast at the power of it all.” – The Line of Best Fit
Support comes from …
CLOUD BOAT
New R&S signings – who can also boast James Blake as an alumni – Cloud Boat are causing a great deal of excitement with a sound that reveals itself as a beautiful orchestration of distorted vocals and calming beats. Their debut single ‘Lions On The Beach’ was recently made Clash’s single of the week, while the pair spent May and June supporting their – for now – more celebrated label mate.
“beautiful songwriting matched to a production style while could only stem from the soundsystem scene. By turns uplifting and utterly desolate, this release marks the emergence of something quite, quite rare.” – Clash Music
HOURGLASS SEA
“Bentley has managed to piece together a series of tracks that keep their production values ludicrously high, especially considering they were likely made on a budget lower than what most people spend on a daily paper.” – This is Fake DIY
VEI
“the sort of music to lose yourself in” – Louderthanwar
