Stagecoach

Stagecoach started out as a country band, but things evolved around the time they rediscovered their tape collections from 1993. In order to melt faces at fifty paces, Stagecoach ditched pretty acoustic songs for junk-pop juggernauts about hot dogs, chess leagues, and Buffy.

Stagecoach have played with Phoenix, Frightened Rabbit, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Bishop Allen, Algernon Cadwallader, & Kevin Devine. You might have heard them on BBC One’s 2009 Gavin and Stacey Christmas / New Year specials. Channel 4 also used them on season 2 of Skins.

Their debut EP ‘We Got Tazers’ hit playlists at Radio 1, 6Music, XFM, NME Radio and assorted BBC Regional stations. Next up are coveted slots at various festivals (including End Of The Road where Stagecoach intend to party hard with Jeff Tweedy), and follow-up EP ‘Crash My Ride’, recorded by Bridlington’s strongest face, James Kenosha (Pulled Apart By Horses//Dinosaur Pile-Up//Grammatics), due for release Summer 2010.
